Wasssup. I know it’s been a minute since my last music mix, and I must give my sincerest apologies. I’m sure everyone was depressed and musicless in my absence, but the good news is that I’m back!
For Mix 3, I decided to simply share a list of the last few albums and songs I’ve listened to. Times are tough and I’m hella stressed, so this compilation includes tracks that L I T E R A L L Y get me through my day.
1. “Cover Girl” x Ru Paul – This one is a classic. Just try walking through campus, your hood, your city, the countryside or the trap house while listening to this song. Only RuPaul can bring out that bass in your walk.
2.“BURNITUP!” x Janet Jackson ft. Missy Elliott – You can’t ever get enough Janet. I dance to this song in the car and pretend that I’ll be at her upcoming tour … Here’s a bomb ass dance cover of Damita Jo’s newest banger.
3. “Give Me all Your Love” x Alabama Shakes – Swoon. This is me and bae’s song. It makes you wanna crawl to your lover’s bedroom window in the rain and serenade them publically until the neighbors complain. Not to mention Brittany Howard is the realest female vocalist around right now.
4.“Sorry” x Justin Bieber – To be fair and defend myself from the basics, I am a dancer and Parris Goebel has been my favorite choreographer since the beginning of time. The fact that she’s just two years older than me and spreading her disgusting amount of talent to beliebers makes me so happy. One day I will be in the royal family, I haven’t given up just yet. *hits the quan*
5. “Foreign Fields” x Kacy Hill – Have you ever wondered who the mesmerizingly sultry voice on Travi$ Scott’s “90210” belonged to? It’s my gurrrl Kacy. Signed to Kanye’s label, GOOD Music, the young former model recently released an EP entitled “bloo.” Check this girl out you guys, she’s basically the love child of SZA and Florence Welch.
Das it for now. Back to work!
