“Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Dark Side of Dimensions” film to open in North America

If you grew up in the late ’90s and early 2000s watching Saturday morning cartoons on Kids WB, then this post is for you. The adventures of Yugi Muto and his gang continues on the big screen and North American fans can rejoice in their return. Who’s ready to see rivals Yugi and Seto duel monsters again?!

Screenvision Media and 4K Media announced last Thursday that the two companies will collaborate to release¬†“Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Dark Side of Dimensions” in the U.S. and in Canada on Jan. 20, 2017. Voice actors of the English dubbed anime, Dan Green and Eric Stuart, will reprise their roles as Yugi Muto/Yami Yugi and Seto Kaiba, for the English dubbed version of the film.

In the English dubbed film, the story takes place one year after the events of the anime “Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters.” This will be the fourth installment of the film franchise.

“Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Dark Side of Dimensions” already released back in April in Japan and raked in about $1.2 million USD the first weekend of its release. The film made about $7.5 million USD, according to Anime News Network.
