The day has come for San Antonio to put away their spandex and capes until next year. Alamo City Comic Con 2015 is officially over and we had such a great time.
We strolled the halls of the convention center one last time and enjoyed seeing all the amazing comic book artwork and memorabilia that was on display.
Our editor ChinLin had her photo op with the great John Noble and got his autograph. We were able to meet and greet with the following actors: Sean Gunn (“Gilmore Girls,” “Guardians of the Galaxy”), Lawrence Gilliard Jr. (“The Wire,” “The Walking Dead”), James Tolkan (“Back to the Future”) and François Chau (“Lost,” “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II”). Guardians of the Galaxy panel
Our last panel of ACCC was “Guardians of the Galaxy” featuring Sean Gunn and Michael Rooker. Michael made an entrance per usual, even eating Krispy Kreme donuts and offered up two donuts to the best questions asked from the audience. The winner was a boyfriend who probably got egged on by his girlfriend to ask “If the ravagers ended up eating Peter, would he taste as good as Chris Pratt looks?” Definitely donut-worthy!!
We learned that Sean Gunn stood in as “Rocket” on set, so the other actors could have someone to play off of. His brother is director of “Guardians of the Galaxy,” James Gunn.
An interesting moment during the panel was when, Michael tried to teach an audience member how to whistle, while her husband looked on filming the whole awkward-ish encounter. Never a dull moment with that guy!
The team here at Shuffle is exhausted, so you know we had a great time! We hope to see more cosplays, comic book artists and of course more of our favorite celebrities next year! Until then, stay curious Shufflers!
