It appears to be that the force has aligned for Alden Ehrenreich who has been cast as the young Han Solo.

Alden has appeared in the YA novel adaptation, “Beautiful Creatures,” “Hail, Caesar!” and “Blue Jasmine.” Although, he’s relatively unknown, this casting is a great choice. He no doubt has young Harrison Ford’s boyish good looks, but will he have the same presence and charisma? Time will tell. The rumored title for the standalone film is expected to be “Han Solo: A Star Wars Story.” Let’s see if this holds. For now, Director Christopher Miller has teased us with a photo from the set, the iconic Han Solo blaster! The film is set to land in 2018.
