Those attending the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix weekend at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas, will be excited to know that the weekend’s musical lineup is an impressive one. Justin Timberlake will be headlining on Saturday, Oct. 21, and Stevie Wonder will headline on Sunday, Oct. 22. In addition to those superstars, Formula 1 fans can catch more than 30 other acts while they’re at COTA.
The American Sound Track, sponsored by Exxon and Mobil stations, will be showcasing these Texas-based acts. There will be multiple stages for fans to catch any number of musical performances from artists in country, soul, folk, hip hop and more genres. Among the acts included in this showcase are The Texas Gentleman (The Gents), who are based in Austin; ZEALE + Blastfamous USA, who perform energetic indie hip hop; blues soul/funk duo The Peterson Brothers; and singer/guitarist Israel Nash, who will bring his critically-acclaimed Americana music to the event.
ExxonMobil’s global sponsorship manager, Kai Decker, says, “There is no better way to continue celebrating after a race than with live music in Austin. We are excited to sponsor the American Soundtrack with COTA at our home track in Austin. In this city, racing and live music go hand in hand. It’s a fun way for us to engage fans and promote our partnership with Red Bull Racing.”

Austin is known as the Live Music Capital of the World, and this weekend at COTA is a great addition to the city’s popular music festivals. The Austin360 Amphitheatre is located there as well, which won Pollstar’s “Best New Major Concert Venue” award in 2013. Racing and music fans will also be able to check out the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, accompanied by the Prairie View A&M Marching Band.
