Dreamy indie-pop outfit Shy Beast’s new self-titled EP is out now! Produced by Danny Reisch (White Denim, Okkervil River, Bright Light Social Hour), Shy Beast’s debut EP boasts infectious, synth-layered tracks reminiscent of Alvvays, Tennis, and Chairlift. Shy Beast known formerly as MCG has transitioned into a new chapter in 2017 with this new EP.
We caught up with them right before they took the stage at Swan Dive celebrating the release of their EP. Shy Beast musicians include, Mariclaire (MC) Glaeser (leader of the band, songwriter, singer and keyboardist), David Tenczar (guitarist and vocalist), Andrew Bennett (guitarist, keyboardist, and vocalist), Jay Cesak (bass clef), and Drew Silverman (drums). The band was a lot of fun to interview. They talked about the inspiration behind the new album, working with music producer Danny Reisch and much more!

Catherine grew up watching action flicks at a very young age which led to her love of film. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelors in Radio-TV-Film in 2012.
