Who else is excited for “Jessica Jones” (Krysten Ritter) to come back into our lives? Can you believe season one premiered back on November 20, 2015?! That’s the one downside of the new TV landscape. Those once strict schedules of airing a show are no longer valid, so a show can wait two years to give us another season! The new season will be released on all at once on Netflix on March 8! For those who are festival gurus, you’ll know you’ll have a day until SXSW 2018 begins to get your binge-watch on. Cue the no sleep now.
Season two will explore Jessica’s origins. She wasn’t always super, but was made to be after a car accident that killed her family. “Jessica Jones” season one has been my favorite of the Netflix Marvel shows. Her character played by Krysten Ritter is authentic and flawed. She’s not the damsel in distress and she’s dealing with major issues that she’s trying to drown with booze. Season two it looks like will be filled with lots more drinking, swearing and those amazing one liners only Jessica can spit out. Even though this is a Marvel franchise and Jessica Jones is a superhero, the issues season two is delving into are very much based in reality. She’s running away from her past, but she can’t no longer.
