SXSW 2018: 6 Films Headlining SXSW Film Festival

The SXSW 2018 Film Festival has released their headlining films! SXSW is known to bring in big names and big talent. Headliners bring star power to SXSW, featuring red carpet premieres and gala film events with major and rising names in cinema. Last year Ryan Gosling and Michael Fassbender drove crowds wild. James Franco and Seth Rogen were in attendance, and James McAvoy was in town promoting “Atomic Blonde.” These year will be no different. The SXSW film festival will take place on March 9 – 18.

“A Quiet Place” (Word Premiere)

“Isle of Dogs” (North American Premiere)

Synopsis: “Isle of Dogs” tells the story of Atari Kobayashi, 12-year-old ward to corrupt Mayor Kobayashi. When, by Executive Decree, all the canine pets of Megasaki City are exiled to a vast garbage-dump called Trash Island, Atari sets off alone in a miniature Junior-Turbo Prop and flies across the river in search of his bodyguard-dog, Spots. There, with the assistance of a pack of newly-found mongrel friends, he begins an epic journey that will decide the fate and future of the entire Prefecture.
