LeakyCon is one of the most magical times of the year! We headed to our first LeakyCon in Dallas, Texas, held August 10 to 12 at the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center. LeakyCon is one of the largest celebrations of all things Harry Potter. We arrived on Saturday and our LeakyCon shenanigans began with a lovely panel between “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” stars Alison Sudol ( who plays Queenie Goldstein) and Dan Fogler (who plays Jacob Kowalski). We couldn’t have had a better start to our LeakyCon experience.
We learned right off the bat that the chemistry between Queenie and Jacob is not forced. Sudol and Fogler are a hilarious duo, which makes for a great on-screen duo! Take a look at some of the highlights from their LeakyCon panel: “Doughnuts and Strudel: Dan Fogler and Alison Sudol.”
On meeting each other for the first time – they each had different reactions…both hilarious:

Sudol tells us Fogler is struggling with his Muggledom but that Queenie loves him just the way he is:

Sudol explained that Queenie deals with a lot listening to everyone’s thoughts, but that she tries to take it all in stride:

On things that didn’t make it into the movie – apparently they wreaked havoc on a Macy’s store that didn’t make the cut, as well as a musical number between Queenie and Tina…we want to see those two in a musical number in the new film!
